                                                                                                                    (2.Cause and effect essay)
                                                         GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is called as a rising of temperature on the earth’s surface as a result of greenhouse gases which released into the atmosphere by humans. Earth's surface is heated by the sun's rays. In recent years, accumulation of carbon dioxide and methane gas in the atmosphere has increased due to the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, rapid population and consumption tendency in society. According to scientists, this rising causes global warming.

Climate system is influenced by solar, greenhouse gases and human factors. In winter, temperatures are rising, animals are changing their migration periods therefore global warming causes climate change. Animal and plant species which can not stand these changes are declining or disappearing. Global warming affects directly human health. Scientists have researched that climate change can trigger some diseases such as heart, respiratory, infectious and allergic diseases.

It causes hurricanes and floods. In the long term drought, it causes desertification. Melting of glaciers leads to disappearing of coastal areas. This will narrow life field in the world. Avalanches occur frequently due to temperature changes in the snowy mountains and avalanches endanger residential areas. Thirst occurs as a result of the rapid depletion of water resources. Drought causes forest fires. Generation of seals and polar bears will be in jeopardy because of melting glaciers.

We must take our precautions against global warming. We should use energy-friendly bulbs. Televisions should not be used in standby mode. We should use fans instead of air conditioning. Houses should be insulated against heat loss. We should prefer public transport. We should prefer walking instead of driving for short distances. Tap should not be left open during brushing teeth, washing dishes and shaving. Glazed products should be preferred such as bottles and jars. Consumers should not take non-recyclable products.

In brief, due to the fact that global warming damages environment, people should be informed about it. We must take necessary measures to decline it’s continuity. Experts should organize seminars or conferences about global warming. People should be conscious against it. The damages which are caused by people should be reduced. Plant and animal species and human health should be protected against damages.

EFFICIENT STUDYING TECHNIQUES

It is defined that efficient studying is to use the time methodically for a certain purpose. Efficient studying is not to ignore other activities or it is not a time which spent just to study. According to certain plan and programs, it is possible to allow the time to other activities in addition to studying. Efficient studying is a process which earned at an early age and affecting one’s success in life.It has some techniques. Efficient studying techniques are scheduled study method, preparing to study, reading method, concentrating method, repeating method.

Scheduled study method, you have to revise your daily and weekly program before you begin to study. You have to determine lesson or homework which needed to be done or studied besides you have to list them according to certain order. Furthermore, you have to form a program that you will be able to plan your time.

Preparing to study, your studying environment have to be arranged properly so that you are able to increase your studying efficiency. You should pay attention your desk’s regularity. Unnecessary things should be removed apart from materials which are relevant with lessons. The room should be clean and bright. It must have a normal temperature. While you are studying, visual documents should not be in the room because they can cause to distraction for example posters, pictures.

Reading method, reading is one of the most prominent ways of efficient studying  and learning. Reading should be continued with the brain not the lips. Reading should be made within a certain period. Ones must read articles about various topics.

Concentrating method, attention is to concentrate on a particular subject of mind. A target which is relevant with studied topic should be determined. Studied topic should be divided into smaller meaningful parts. During the study, it should be placed to various activities such as writing, reading, telling. Ones should have a curiosity about studied topic.

Repeating method, the research has shown that seventy percent of the information is learned in one hour, eighty percent of the information is forgotten within twenty-four hours. It is necessary to repeat effectively for becoming permanent of learned information. Especially, to repeat before sleeping prevents to forget. Telling to someone else is a great benefit for repeating.

As a result, there are five techniques for effective studying. To me, efficient studying is to save the time. It is not important thing to study hard to be successful, the important thing is to study efficiently. It should not be forgotten that stone can be drilled with the continuity of drops, not the force of water.
